Reiki the Sacremyst Way

When I first encountered Reiki 31 years ago (as of 2025), Reiki was an obscure concept. I found myself spending much of mu time explaining what it is. Fast forward several decades, things are much different. Reiki has become exceedingly popular. It is not unusual for the average person to personally know one or more reiki “masters” within their social circle. I started my Reiki journey with Anita Levin in the traditional Usui method. Anita was Initiated by Sensei Takata who learned from Sensei Hayashi who learned from Founder Usui. This made Anita three degrees from Founder Usui and I was therefore four degrees. Since then, I have learned from several different sources to gain a broader perspective.

From this experience, I have learned that Reiki was modified to suite the North American taste for convenience and instant gratification. What was missing from more modern methods was the mental training to gain the most appropriate mental states for providing a vibration of healing. Therefore what is provided in our lineage is a system of meditation, ritual and mantras to set space, energy and mind.

Another missing component is specific knowledge of energy bodies, centers and meridians and how to use them. In our system, we teach such practical information so that the practitioner has insight into the energy systems of the body. This will allow them to not only be aware of what is happening, but also to know how to deal with changes as they come up and to better customize a healing session for the specific client.

Further, divine ritual is taught in order to maximally bring down the most powerful and purest of energies while filtering out all that is not beneficial.

The aspirant will also eventually learn an interweaved modality known as Galactic Healing that when combined with Reiki is a Three session healing that is designed to take a specific intent and to help make it true in the life of the client.

Reiki Level 1(Foundational Level)

Reiki Level 1 is also known as Tantric Reiki. Despite popular belief in the West, Tantra is not about sex. Tantra refers to the body level. In eastern faiths, this present ways that the spiritual individual can become closer to the divine (worship) using their bodies. This may come in different forms. One is simply to run energy freely through their bodily channels. Another is the enjoyment of health in the body. Further, fully appreciating the joy of the senses can also be considered Tantra. In short, Level 1 reiki is meant for self-directed healing and teaches us to be fully present in our bodies. This is an absolute must before one is able to treat others. Level 1 Reiki Includes the following:

Level 1 Attunement, Amplification symbol, Space Setting, Preparatory Ritual, Opening, Mental quality learning, Anapana Sati meditation, Shang Gong, Energetic breathing, Self-healing. Worship of Spirit on the body Level (Tantra). This is a four day class.

Reiki Level 2 (Practitioner Level)

Level 2 Reiki is also known as Mantra Reiki. Mantra is the use of the mind as a tool and canvas for achieving proximity to Spirit. The mind is infinite making it a powerful tool. For the same reason, it is also vulnerable ground for going astray. At this level, extra focus is directed at protecting the mind all the while using it as a spiritual of ascension. It is a pre-requisite to have complete the first level before starting this study. Level 2 Reiki includes:

Level 2 attunement, Mental healing symbol, Distance symbol, Energy bodies and how to use them , Chakra medicine, meridians, five elements theory. Deeper levels of meditation. Also, the use of tools and amplifiers such as crystals and spoken mantras will be taught. Worship of Spirit on the Mental level (Mantra). This is a once a week class that happens over 10 weeks. After Level 2 one is qualified to offer Reiki to the public.

Reiki Level 3 (Master/Teacher Level)

Level 3 Reiki is also known as Yantra Reiki. Yantra is achieving closeness to divinity through knowing oneself as a spirit form. To take this level, one must have audited both Level 1 and Level 2 , three times each. One also must demonstrate a passion, intention and direction to act as Teachers and to serve the community as such. The readiness of each student at this level is highly individual. Study on this level will be a mix of group classes as well as one on one teacher to student transmission. A certain substantial level of spiritual development is required to complete this level of Mastery. We at Sacremyst take these standards very seriously especially in our dedication to the preservation (not degradation) of sacred knowledge. Level 3 includes:

Level 3 Attunement. Master Symbol, Higher Spiritual Teachings. Use of Yantra Grids. Use of Vogel Crystals, Vipassana Meditation, Higher Levels of Shang Gong. Sharpening of all other previous tools. There is no time limit or number of classes for this level. It goes on until the student is ready.
